Andrea René Williams began her writing career in 1999. A precursor to The Belle Report, she created the Gospel News Update, an e-zine about happenings in the Gospel music industry nationally. The popular e-zine was sent to hundreds of movers and shakers in the industry weekly. A year later, she wrote her first pieces for Gospelcity.com including music reviews, high-profile interviews and inspirational articles. Williams has also been a freelance writer for BlackGospel.com, Gospel Today Magazine, Charisma, Ministries Today, SpiritLed Woman and Xii Magazine. As an interviewer, she's interviewed dozens of popular artists including Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Kurt Carr, Donald Lawrence, Richard Smallwood, Tonex, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Byron Cage, CeCe Winans, Tye Tribbett, Smokie Norful, Martha Munizzi, Kim Burrell, J Moss, Hezekiah Walker, Jeff Majors, Daryl Coley, Tramaine Hawkins, Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton, Walter Hawkins, LaShun Pace, Bishop Paul S. Morton, and Dr. Bobby Jones. In her writing career, she’s penned over 400 articles, including several cover stories, and as a publicist, hundreds of biographies, press releases and feature stories. In July 2017, she published her first book, Live The Life You Sing About: How To Live With Integrity In The Gospel & Christian Music Industry. The book debuted at #1 on the New Release for Gospel chart on Amazon the first week of its release.
